I'm going to Vegas this Thursday thru Monday and I'm actually taking my sticks with me this time. I've already booked a Friday morning round at Paiute - Wolf and Saturday morning at Legacy in Henderson.

For those of you who've played in the Vegas area, any suggestions on some possible other tracks? I'm really trying to avoid paying more than $200.

All feedback is greatly appreciated guys.

Just left Vegas after 19 years, great courses all around. All 3 courses at Paiute are pretty nice, might even consider another 18 there, they might give you a break if you're already playing the most expensive one there in Wolf. Desert Pines is near old downtown in a questionable neighborhood, but fantastic track, very unlike Vegas, Carolina style and gorgeous when you're inside the property. They might also give you a price break at their sister courses, Bali Hai (expensive) or Royal Links (slightly more), ask when you're at the course, not on the phone. Not sure what they charge for out of state rates, but Rio Seco is great but pricey, either 18 at Revere is not bad, also both in Henderson with Rio Seco. Badlands should be in good shape, target desert course, reasonable priced in the northwest near both tpc courses.

TPC Las Vegas
Very enjoyable course and the THP Event there was awesome.

^TPC is nice when it's in good shape... I wouldn't play it for what they charge out of state rate through, played a lot at $50 local rate.

I'd suggest trying to book through golfnow or someone online when you find courses, should be cheaper than just calling. Out of state rates are crazy in Vegas right now as it's peak season

I can't say enough good things about Wolf Creek. Yes, it's an hour or so away, but man was it amazing. Primm was really good too, and a bit closer.

Wolf Creek is a bucket course if ever there was one... One day I'll go there...one day...

If you're considering driving to mesquite or Primm, Coyote Springs is a great track too. Almost to mesquite but not quite

Thanks for the input guys. Although I'm a golfnow *****, I just wanted to read firsthand accounts as I'm not too confident in the reliability of the reviews in their website.

A good place to go is their facebook pages also to get an update on the condition of the courses posted by others. Last I played Coyote Springs beginning of the year the greens were in horrible shape, in fact they resodded some greens and hole 1 had a temporary green it was so bad. As for rates, just have to look around, personally for out of towners the best deal IMO is Boulder Creek. Muni course always in great shape and can play very tough if windy. Should be less than $100 for tourist. TPC is in good shape, just not worth the price if you are paying full fee, close to or over $200.

I did a quick search for a Vegas course thread hoping for some help and found this one. I'm currently torn between Bali Hai and TPC Las Vegas. Has anyone played both and recommend one over the other?

TPC is definitely a cut Above. MTC
