I've put a ball on a long tee same height as hitting driver. Then hit the ball with a 5i at the range with good results. Picked the ball clean. Hit it nice all 3 times I tried it. Haven't had the ca jones to try it on the course tho. And I only did it that one day. My buddy Dan tees it up on par 3's the same height you would for a fairway wood and hits iron. Doesn't matter what iron he is hitting, he tees it up.
