As a newbie golfer who is struggling with a swing, I thought it would be an "interesting" learning activity to compare my positions through the swing versus a professional golfer. I chose a golfer I really like to make it interesting, who was around the same height as me - Luke Donald.
It's embarassing when you feel like you're doing one thing and then see that you're doing nothing like it :embarrassed: but I guess that's how we learn, right?
So here is my morph with Mr Donald
Clearly I'm taking the club up MUCH too vertically, and not around my body enough. That's the one thing I notice the most from studying this sequence. In addition it's clear I'm slumping my shoulders too much and not keeping that spine straight enough.
It's nice having those couple of observations to work on, and not have a million thoughts going through my head when I'm hitting balls. Will be good to get to the range with just one or two things to think about/work on.
