Just watched this on AMC. Haven't seen it in a long time. What a stellar movie. Forgot how much I like this movie. It might be one of my favourite sports movies. Rudy is probably my top sports movie. Anybody else love these 2 movies or is it just me?

Both classics and both stellar. As a Notre Dame fan I love Rudy. And Field of Dreams is just all around great.

Two great movies. Watch them any chance I get.

I liked Field of Dreams, but not quite as much as For the Love of the Game as far as classic baseball movies go.

One of my favorites. Actually went to the field during a work trip out in Iowa.

Field of Dreams is possibly my outright favorite movie ever.

A couple of other Costner films would be right up there (Bull Durham and Dances With Wolves).

Oddly enough, I think Costner is really cheesy...but he was on a wicked run of great movies, until he started trying so hard to hit a homerun with all of his subsequent films.

Bull Durham was an amazing sports movie, and I'm not even a baseball guy. Along with Slapshot, those are my two favorite sports movies.

A better than great movie. If the last 10 minutes doesn't make you cry , not sure what else will

I agree.
I never cried...but had to work hard to keep myself from doing so.

Oddly enough, the only movie I actually recall crying (even though I tried my hardest not to) was The Joy Luck Club.
I lost a lot of man points that night...

I am watching it right now on Xbmc

Field of Dream is one of my favorite movies ever, right next to Casino and The Usual Suspects.

The soundtrack to Rudy is fantastic.

Field of Dreams is a great one. Had a major impact on me as my dad was battling cancer at the time it was out in theaters. I saw it on opening night.

Field of dreams

One of my all time favorites.

Just saw it on some channel a couple weeks ago and watched it again.

Just a terrific movie and so well done.

Oddly enough I had never heard the term "wanna have a catch" until the movie.

For us it was always "wanna play catch"

I love the "have a catch" so much better.

Both great movies. Would not go to the the top spot with either for favorite sports movie, but both are definitely top 10.

How nice was it? Was it exactly what the movie makes it look like?

Funny you say that, my friends and I talked about that one day. With the baseball we always said let's play catch. With a football it was always let's play pass. I do like the let's have a catch tho.

I loved it. I have some pics on my pc at home. I'll post some up.

If I remember correctly, they still play games there right? Kinda like an old time league. I could be way off with that tho.

I love Field of Dreams and Rudy. Another one I love is Hoosiers.

I watched it last night with my 12yo soft-ball playing daughter. She got it, but it might taker her a few more times and a few more years to appreciate it like we old timers do.

Field of Dreams is an easy top 5 sports movie of all time. Such a classic.

"Is this heaven? No....it's Iowa."

Remember the Titans and Friday Nigh Lights were 2 of my all time favorite highschool football movies. Both were fantastic

Field of Dreams is on of my favorite movies. Between Field of Dreams and Bull Durham - Kevin Costner has the market on baseball classics.
