I ordered from TM last year and got the RSI TP with C-taper shafts -1/8 and now I'm finding it don't like the shorter shafts,

My question is can I just pull my shafts and put them in the lower club IE 7iron shaft into 8iron head.

This would be considered soft-stepping your irons, and they would play a bit weaker to flex. If you are okay with that then it is absolutely fine to do it.

1/8 isn't much, but you can add extensions to lengthen

I'm skeptical that you'd notice a different. 1/8" is a tiny amount - and probably within variance of grip location. If you put the 7i in the 8i head, you'll actually end up overlength. (3/8", assuming 1/2" steps between irons).

Once they're playing longer, they'll also play at a different effective lie angle, so you'll need to get that adjusted to get them to play the same as they do now.
