I'm looking to get a couple of wedges bent 1.5 degrees flatter than standard, the specs say the standard angle is 64.5 so would the new angle with the wedges be 66 or 63? I'm guessing 66 as increasing the angle will put the toe down but could some one keep me right.

Cheers in advance

They'd be 63* lie, if you're bending them flatter. At least I'm pretty positive of that fact.

Thats whats confusing me,to get the toe down i.e flatter does the angle not increase? Say for ease the angle was 90 degrees, then to get the toe down a bit you would have to go past 90 degrees to say 95 degrees?

I'd have to go with TC on this one. If you're going flatter you're going more to the 45º side of the angle, not the 90º

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that when the lie gets flatter, the lie angle decreases.

Ok guys I'll go with that although I'm still confused

Increasing the angle makes them more upright.

makes sense now thanks

Increasing the angle makes them more upright.

Good illustration. Increasing the angle moves the shaft upwards toward vertical so a plus adjustment means more upright and decreasing the angle moves the shaft the other way down toward horizontal which means flatter and would be a minus adjustment.
