This will serve as the place holder for my pics and posts pertaining to my trip to Cabos, that begins tomorrow.

We played the 9-hole Vidanta course yesterday, plan to play PLC tomorrow and Club Campestre on Wednesday!

We will be on the same course today. Play well!

First round yesterday was fun, but very rushed, in terms of getting to the course. It was a bit too much to fly into Cabos, get through customs, check into the resort and then get to the tee time. We finished just as the sun was setting. I had a rough start, 3 over after two holes. Finished 41/38 for a 79, with three 3 putts and two double bogies. I did have a stretch of 9 GIR in a row, and had 13 GIR for the round, which should have led to a much better score.

The course (Puerto Los Cabos) has 27 holes, 18 by Nicklaus and 9 by Norman. We played 9 of the Nicklaus and the Norman 9. The Norman 9 were easier, at least to me. Overall, the course is fairly generous on many fairways. The greens are multi tiered and can result in quite a few 3 putts, if the approach is not positioned properly. There are quite a few false fronts and I paid the price on two holes, not landing my ball quite far enough into the green. I hate that feeling of watching your ball rolling back down the hill, LOL.

Here are some photos of the first round:

The long drive of the day for me:

The resort does different things in the evening for the guests. Last night, they had some fire dancers.

I was hoping to do more of a live round thread, but it may be challenging. I went on the trip with my cousin and uncle and my uncle probably should not be on the course. He hasn’t played in a long time. As he described the round to his wife on the phone last night, “It was brutal.” LOL. I am hoping to get more of a description going today, but it might prove challenging.

Thanks for sharing @Tenputt! Looks like a gorgeous spot to relax and play golf for a few days. Thanks for sharing the pics as the Ohio Valley is currently not a gorgeous place to relax and play golf.

Great looking course! Enjoy!

I love the pictures, thanks for taking me away to a tropical destination this morning. That looks gorgeous! Soak up the surroundings and have a great time with family.

Enjoy your round today!

The view from the balcony of my room is not hard on the eyes. This is a short par 3 on the course we played yesterday.

Really enjoy looking at the pictures of a destination course. Thanks for posting them and keep em coming if you can.

I so want to go somewhere. I am insanely jealous. It was 12* with 40 mph winds this morning when I had to take the dog out.

Play well and have fun.

Today’s round was not very good. 12 GIR, but an horrific 39 putts, to shoot 81. I never could get settled into the speed. One more chance tomorrow to post a good score.

Look perfect and those greens look in great shape! Enjoy the trip @Tenputt

Bermuda greens can be like that.

Here are some random pics from my third and last round. The third round, I shot a 76, hitting 13 greens and 12/14 fairways. I still was somewhat vexed on the very fast Bermuda greens. Although I avoided three putting today, I still had 35 putts and only one birdie, even though I had numerous birdie looks. It was a great get away and I would recommend Cabos as a wonderful destination for golf.

Fun stuff Craig!

One other thing that I didn’t mention that was a first for me on this trip. There is a par 3 that runs parallel to the beach. Our rooms overlooked the hole. It is a gorgeous hole and my posts have some photos of it. Anyway, I saw whales breaching the surface of the water multiple times playing this hole. That is about as cool as it gets.

Ahhh take me back. About 5 years ago I played Cabo Real and Campestre, both great courses. Would give nearly anything for some Cabo golf and poolside lounging. Thanks for the great pics and nostalgia!

Great pictures, nice looking course.

Great pics @Tenputt thank you for sharing!

I swear you are in the room we stayed in. Great view. Hope they had more opened up to do at night. I'll return someday soon to play those courses.
