Not at all about me. This is meant to not take away from the experience of who is captain. In looking at the last couple, even with the Ass Cap felt that the captain did not get to enjoy as much and do not love that for a first timer. Trees have roots and some run deeper than others. At one point all the roots were the same but through careful growth, knowledge and sheer determination, some roots grew deeper into the soil and are now the foundation of the tree.

The Grandaddy was born from a single seed (thought) to make the greatest amateur golf event possible. Through the years the “Grandaddy Tree” grew with some roots growing deeper than others. All the roots were important for growth but some were needed to maintain stability and keep the foundation of the tree on solid ground.

I have thoughts, but I’ve learned to never assume and just sit back and be surprised because just when you think you’ve nailed it, the curve ball gets thrown and you’re back to square one. Enjoy the ride and #LLTG
