    True Temper Vector Shafts

Vector is the next generation of lightweight shafts. We wanted to further optimize the shafts by flex. So for the R we went with an 80gr part and a smaller butt OD. The smaller butt OD helps with two things, it makes the butt section easier to load and it also makes the club easier to...

Project X IO Shaft for Wedges??

You can also look at PX wedge. 5.5 flex is 115 grams so a little more heft in your wedges than in your irons. Soft handle for better wedge feel but still a firm PX tip for control.

    Calling all shaft experts

DG Mid 115 would be the way to go. Similar profile (I actually prefer the DG Mids) and inline in current product so should eliminate any supply concerns.

    Balance point on shafts?

Depends on how the club with the shaft in question is built. If you have a CB shaft and the builder gets it back to the original SW where the builder puts the weight will affect the launch conditions.

    True Temper Black Gold shafts?

Those were our better version of Rifle shafts. Frequency matched, weight matched, flight matched. And then we bought Royal Precision, so these went away as a brand (our better tech got moved into Rifle).

Iron Shafts: Why don’t you go graphite?

Two things there: 1) Generally heavy weight graphite dampens all the feel out of the club. Good if you have concerns about vibration causing pain, not great if you want to know where on the face you hit the ball. Generally better players who prefer those weight shafts like to get feedback on...

Iron Shafts: Why don’t you go graphite?

Because the Youngs Modulus of steel is defined by its crystal structure. Therefore regardless of heat treatment and/or presence of interstitial elements, the stiffness of said steel will always be the same, leading to better flexural consistency from shaft to shaft. Graphite's Longitudinal...

Softer and “Longer” shaft in a wedge.

The 8 iron shaft in the wedge is the old spinner style shaft, a little more flexible tip. Most tour players go softer in their wedges, either S400 from X100 in irons or PX 6.0 from PX 6.5 in the irons.
