Gilbert, That is my go to club on a tight fairway. I hit it a few times in a round. I actually have the 1 iron and even an original 845s non oversize driving iron they call a "Heater" but they do not have a spot in the bag as of now. I tend to struggle with lofted wedges so the lob wedge is in the closet and the 2 iron lives on.
Sox, I took a long layoff from golf so I am sure I would have worn out the grooves and moved on to something else by now if I had kept playing. I had to get new woods because my son broke the head off of my original Big Bertha Warbird driver at Top Golf and the BB 3 wood is his favorite club. I have been looking at every iron out there and it is hard not to buy something for sure. I will buy new irons next year if I am still playing.
The front row is the Equalizer wedges. The middle row is the solid bodied 7i - PW PTx. The back row is the 6i - 3i hollow bodied PTx.
The whole setup with headcovers.
The whole setup in the nude. Yes I have 15 clubs in the bag, that sets up a bag battle between:
The 47* PTx PW and the 48* Equalizer. Two wedge enter, one wedge leaves.
Having too many clubs is a GREAT problem to have. Thanks to Ben Hogan golf and The Hackers Paradise I have a setup I can be proud of. I have a range finder on order, when it arrives I will hit the range and see which wedge survives the cut.
Big changes to my bag coming in December at the Grandaddy so I thought I would update the WITB before then. I have enjoyed gathering this set and most of the bag is a direct result of THP.
The Srixon Z-785 driver was won here earlier this year. A TEE EX-10 Beta 3 wood and Honma TW-747 4 and 5 hybrids round out the top of the bag.
The Ben Hogan PTx irons and Equalizer wedges have been in my bag since the Ben Hogan Iron Experience in June 2018
Odyssey O-works 7
The Aldila Rogue Silver 130 MSI has been a good match with the Z-785 head.
