Yep $4.60 is about the norm in the Bay Area with many being over $5Here in The People's Republic of California I can find gas at Costco for right at $4 a gallon, anywhere else it seems like it's $4.25 and up, (regular). That is the Sacramento area, which is usually about the lowest prices in the state.
Yikes! We're way up compared to last year, double the price in fact, average holding @2.70 the past month.Depending on location it’s anywhere from $4.59 a gallon to over $5.00 a gallon.
We were low to mid $3 prior to JanuaryYikes! We're way up compared to last year, double the price in fact, average holding @2.70 the past month.
California temps have been outrageously high this year. In the Bay Area we have been rarely over 82 degrees for more that a few days. Currently it’s worth the cost, but I refer to this area as a working years place. In retirement it’s bye bye Bay Area. My wife and I both have outstanding retirement packages here and honestly it’s the only reason we are still here.Lived in the Bay Area in 2007-2009. Prices about 60 percent higher than elsewhere sounds about right. Ugh.
Loved the great weather and the golf as a member at Castlewood in Pleasanton.
I don't miss the high cost of living and some of the other Kalifornia stuff. Great people and great friends there.
