How do YOU know when it's time to change

Went to the range today and the only clubs I really enjoyed hitting were my wedges. I didn't strike the ball real poorly nor did I have any shanks or tops. I really just didn't feel anything from UW all the way up to driver. Numb really. I'm going to wait on the January releases given the weather locally, but with all the great releases from almost every brand, why settle for something that doesn't make the game more fun?

When I've got everything I can out of it, whatever it is. When I'm confident I'm not going to do any better with that piece of gear, it's time to upgrade/change. I got pretty good with old Nike Slingshot irons and an M1. When I felt like I was milking them for everything they were worth and still standing pat... change. Same for anything that just isn't going to work for me, but that's a lot faster realization.

I suppose not having fun with them is as good a reason as any.
