How Do YOU Practice?

So after a month of not being able to play or practice due to snow, I was able to get out to our short game area and practice for an hour or so last night. I have a new wedge in the bag, I'm moving away from a 60 degree to a 58. It was terribly wet on the green but that's ok, last night's session was more about contact, landing area, and feel.

I picked a spot on the green, tried to land it there. Messed around with opening the face, closing the face, loft, deloft. I then did the old "death star" drill to work on consistency between 3-8 foot putts. I placed a ton of focus on developing a pre-putt routine. I have never established something that sticks, it's very inconsistent. I found myself "looser" over the putt after a methodical pre-putt routine.

Hopefully we can all continue this thread with drills or practice techniques that help our game. Hopefully the range and sand area will thaw and dry soon I can incorporate full shots into the sessions.
