I'm confused as to what the wrists and hands are supposed to do just prior to the club head making impact with the ball.

Is the right hand supposed to hold the wrist cocked or bent to maintain club lag and then just prior to impact snap or whip through the ball using wrist muscles?

Or, is the wrist to remain lax and the right forearm to start rolloing over to creat a higher club head speed?

We want the left hand driving for right handed players. The feel is hitting the ball with the back of the hand. Focus on the right hand leads to casting and flipping. To get the feel make some practice swings with just your left hand on the club. You will feel a back handed shot and a roll of the forearms. This is what we are looking for.

Andy, is that why some people think that RH players with a dominant right hand could actually play lefty better like Phil M.?

What should the right hand/wrist be doing just prior to impact? I'm still confused how to maintain lag without flipping at impact.
