After poking around Google a bit, it sounds kind of shady. Some posts on other forums mentioned companies that were giving out “free clubs” that turned out to be “free trials” in the fine print where they bill for the full price of the club later and won’t take returns.

Don’t know if Patriot is doing that scam, but I’d personally pass. If it sounds too good to be true...

Yeah, I'm a skeptic as it is so anything that seems too good to be true.....

What is the asterisk after On the House? What does that mean?

Nope...delete into the trash can.

If the bold is from the email, and that * following it is also in the email, there are some sort of limits and conditions associated with the offer.

TANSTAAFL

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. That's unfortunate but it is what it is.

So I'll stand by for the obvious you got scammed comments but gave them a call to find out what the asterix means.

Wedge offer is totally free, nothing to pay just provide a review. The hook is they then want you to try their fairway woods, 45 day test period then again a review. There is a cost however, they charge the wholesale price of the fairway ($144 vs $300) with a written money back guarantee if you decide to return them after the 45 days.

If keeping obviously you have paid up.

Talking to the guy was good, he said it would take them 1-2 weeks to get it out to me, I told him I would be out of town so he said he would rush them to where I'm staying to go in the bag.

Let's see how this thing goes...............................

Well, that is exactly the scam though. When you decide you don’t want those woods, they will do everything they can to prevent you from returning them. Others who have done it with other companies had to involve their credit card company to make a chargeback.

Hope it works out for you though.

Totally agree, they definitely don't look the the Warrior brand or image but who knows.

Good on ya for giving it a try and hope it works for you. I would have sent that email directly to the trash lol

So i finally got my order from Patriot Golf. Legitimate offer as i now have clubs in hand.

Wedge offer is a pretty good freebie, when you call to collect, the hook is testing 3, 5 & 7 FW built to your specs and return if not satisfied.

No flag waving, vet supporting golfers? :ROFLMAO:

I agree, the looks are not of the 'take me out to play right now' looks for sure

Although I don’t know how I got on their email list to begin with, I had to unsubscribe as I was getting sometimes 2 emails a day from them. I hope the clubs work for you.

Interesting. Not something that I would take them up on, but glad you did so we can get the straight answers on what the deal is with them.

Man, those look bad. But free is free! Unless it isn’t...

I did the free driver with them sending me a set of custom irons. I played the irons for a couple months and found the irons less forgiving than my current set. I filled out the survey on the irons and sent them back. They did try and convince me to try other clubs or sign up for another offer, but I declined. It cost me about $65 for the driver with me paying shipping on returning the irons. I currently use the driver and I really like it. If they do a follow up with hybrids, I may do it again.

those are some deep faced fairway woods. Good luck off the deck.
