young childern period lasted about 8 years for me where i was unable to play more then 5 rounds.. Compensating things that I did

1- Only count pars and birdies when I play.
2- Practice and work on my game- only an hour or time; sometimes less

I luckily have the best wife who allows me to still sneak out once a week for 9 or a good driving range session. I also keep an 8 iron and my putter in the house at all times for swing and putting work when I have time.
