Pat Hurst’s long apprenticeship is over. She was named the 2021 U.S. Solheim Cup captain by the LPGA on Thursday.

Saw this on social media earlier today. Seems like a solid choice to succeed Inkster. She definitely served her time so should be well prepared for the responsibilities.

Good for Pat. I’ll never forget her US Open with Annika, she held her own for a lot of that round!

She has the experience to lean on and I think this is a great choice. I think the familiarity with the players is great and I am looking forward to her leading the US Women to another Solheim victory.

I would have loved to see Inkster continue, but I think Pat is a good choice.
