PAYPAL "gifted"....Yes or no, what say Ye?

I never do it either. It's a transaction and both parties need protection. Business is Business and both parties should understand that.
 
Gifted if you're established here, if not then no chance.

If I know the person (at least through the site), I will more than likely select gift for PayPal. Otherwise, you just can't do it. You lose all protection that way.
 
I looked into this a little further and, correct me if I'm wrong, but for these types of transactions, individual to individual, Paypal's policy does NOT protect your purchase either way. The only thing it saves are fees and it can work both ways. There is an extra fee on the seller if it is not gifted but there can be an extra fee on the buyer if you gift it when your paypal payment is attached to a credit card.
