perhaps at a private course. But municipalities are a different thing.

Not sure where you are, but as I said before, I've never heard of a course in KC that didn't have a rain check policy (that doesn't include no rain checks). I don't play private courses.

The three courses I spoke of are municipal. I get that every place is different, but going out of your way to meet people/network pays huge dividends in the long run

Many of the courses around here offer credit for un-finished holes. A few have moved to giving rain checks for 18 holes if inclement weather forces you off the course at any time, even if you're on the 18th green.
