Legendary Kansas and Chicago Bears running back Gale Sayers has died at 77.

It was Gale Sayers that made me a football and Chicago Bears fan. His injury cut short a phenomenal career. Sorry to hear this news.

I do remember him playing. An electrifying runner and returner, one of the best ever. Unfortunately, his HOF career was cut short by knee injuries.

I loved watching his highlights. He was amazing at making cuts while still moving forward at full speed. If he hadn't been injured, he would be mentioned up there with Jim Brown.
