Short Golf Courses are More Fun

They can be more challenging, too. If you had to choose between a short course or a long course, which would you prefer?
What is shorter vs longer ? I kind of prefer longer challenging courses.

According to the handicap/course length general rule of thumb I should not play any courses longer than about 5,800 yards. The few times I did break 100 were on courses <5,700 yards. One is only par 67 and the others were at least par 70.

Most of my rounds in the last few years have been on executive courses and par 3 9 hole courses. But I want to challenge myself and really work on my long game (such that it is) this year. So I'll be playing the 5,500 + yard courses more this year.

Driving par 4s is always fun so short is more "fun"
