I’m not much of a fan of Boston pro sports but this is 100% true.

Whenever I hear Ted Williams’ name, I remember the anecdote in Ball Four about Ted’s self-talk during BP. Incredible mental picture, true or otherwise.

Maybe not at the same level, but I'm amazed by Brett Favre's 297 games started streak. That's the equivalent to 18.5 NFL seasons.

And when playoff games are included, he actually started 321 straight games. Incredible.

This one is crazy too.

I was looking up other crazy streaks. In the others ted Williams also reached base 16 straight ABs.
