For a few months my AP1 Gap wedge had a very small rattle - I figured perhaps it was a bit of epoxy. Friday after hitting a shot with it, I noticed that rattle was now quite pronounced. I cut a small hole in the end of the grip and the thing in the attached picture fell out.

Having no clue about club making or changing shafts, not sure what this little thing is (1 inch long). Is it part of the shaft, the club head or the connection between the two.

Has the club lost any of its strength? Do I need to get it fixed before I play this week?

Thanks

That is dried epoxy that must've just worked its way loose and up the shaft, you should be a-ok to use the club as you have been.

Looks like excess epoxy that broke free from the center of the shaft

thanks guys
