Recently discovered that I'm bending my left wrist backwards (30-45*) at the top of my backswing. I suspect this is preventing me from releasing the club properly and is robbing me of distance.
Problem is even though I'm aware of it, I simply cannot stop doing it. Even on a real slow practice swing while looking at my hands, I still have to almost physically force the hands into position. The force of habit is strong in this padawan!

My question. Will acquiring some kind of training glove help me correct this problem, or are there other measures to consider?
And if so, any recommendations as to what to purchase?

I have seen the Swing Glove by Rick Smith advertised and it looks like it will do what you are looking for. I don't know how long you would have to use it though, nor really how effective it is. You could look up reviews and testimonies on the web.
