Right now I think my PW is 45 and then I go 50*, 56* and 60*. I think I might bend my 56* down one degree just to make it uniform gapping. In the past I always had a 48*, 52* and 56* setup.
Set PW is 45*, set GW is 50*. I also carry at 54* and then jump to 60*. I tried 58* for a while but am so much happier with the 60*. I full swing them all but rarely full swing the 60*. I am also getting better and better at picking the correct one and correct amount for a partial swing when I need it as well. I use the 60* the most probably as it is my go to for greenside bunkers, chipping, short pitches, and since I got it I have become better and better at pulling off flop shots when I really need to do it.
Not counting my set PW which is 45, I have a 52, 56 and a 60. Those are pretty standard options for lefty clubs. There is a bit of a gap between my PW and 52 but I'm able to make that work really well for me.
I used to be a 52, 56, 60 guy..... but in the last few years moved to 50, 54 and 58.
It surprised me actually how much more playable the 58 lw was in terms of short game performance, bunker play and fully swing. The 60 degree is great in the case of hard, fast courses, but for the typical good quality muni I play, the 58 has been excellent and all that I need.
I done something drastic a month ago, sold my Cleveland 588 rtx 2.0 black satin wedges, 60-56-52-48.
Then bought Cleveland smart sole 4.0 C-S-G.
I’m going to see how this works out....
