What’s on the menu - New Years Eve

Just put in an order for a pretty massive amount of sushi for two people.

to Igor we will eat a couple small appetizers. A ton of sushi. Some alcohol.

“sashimi dinner includes:
Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, tamago, mackerel,
crab, white fish, arctic surf clam, and ebi.

It’s going to be a lot of sushi....

Nice menu @PKorf! We let the kids pick most of it this year.

Appetizers:
-Meat/Cheese/Cracker platter with various meats and cheeses
-Shrimp and Cocktail Sauce
-Artichoke dip (in the crockpot)

Main Meal:
-Chicken Wings on the Komado
-Pasta Salad

Desert:
-Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars

It was going to be hotdogs and tater tots..... because well, we fancy.
Fancy Indian meal for dinner as a pre-New Year's dinner.

Shifting a bit, I think I am going to do an Asparagus, Mushroom, and Ricotta pasta.
Chocolate dipped marshmallows for the kiddo (that he made this morning).
A variety of cheesecake for desert.

Last couple 2-3 years at New Years we've done something very simple at home and mainly from what's in the pantry.... sorta homage to the year that is out-going. Lot of things to be thankful & grateful for.... This year we're doing roasted tomato soup and grilled ham/cheese sandwiches, boring I know, but its one of those cliche' moments to do the best with what you have.

Oh, and we're doing the soup in the Instapot.... @Canadan you hear that.... Instapot FTW

We had salad for lunch after Grocery shopping, Most likely will have some leftover goulash i made yesterday....

I've got several different types of dips and crackers and chips, shrimp cocktail, and chicken wings planned for dinner. I'll be sipping some Bulleit with some bubbly for midnight.

Chicken fajitas with Spanish rice and charro beans. No booze but I will drink some coffee so I can stay up a little later than normal.

Just finished cooking. Cast iron skillet butter seared ribeye with cheesy mashed potatoes. Added some mushrooms and blue cheese crumbles.
