I feel like I should have one but I don’t think I do. I don’t know enough about them to have a strong opinion but I do love watching the event.

Carnoustie for the potential carnage
 
What surprises me the most is how much regard Carnoustie gets. Played it and Old Course, Kingsbarns and a handful of others last year and our whole group was completely underwhelmed by Carnoustie. It’s a fun track but while playing it I never got the sense that you were anywhere special. Even watching it now on tv I just don’t see it. Maybe it was the firing range for the military that was right next door but I don’t know. I get the history it has as a championship course but it was by far the biggest difference in what we were expecting of our trip.
