I’d probably chuckle. If I have to stand on one of the edges I’m probably not too happy. But I’m probably trying to carve out the meaty parts of the S in a straight line to make more lines. Realistically I’m hitting in that spot regardless since I rarely look at the turf before setting up and I’m not moving.
 
actually, wouldn't a GOOD golfer only need one divot???

if he hits the ball first, the divot is in front of ball and you could set the ball back in the same spot.
 
I actually don’t care so much because there is way more grass left than what I get at the range. There is still grass left to hit from.
