Is the insert not aluminum instead of SS? I'm sure the head is SS but if it like some of the mSeries models, the insert is likely aluminum. That is a good thing regarding feel IMO.

If I am not mistaken it's a stainless steel face insert!

Isn't the SB2 an aluminum head? If it is, it seems odd to have an aluminum insert in an aluminum face.
