If the young arms can step and fill Huddy's gap we can certainly go deep. Should be able to rest many players in Sept with the lead being built.
 
Not only have the young starters been fantastic, look at the guys in the bullpen! Those numbers as a whole are ridiculous!

I'm so glad to see them finally playing the baseball they can play. They're hitting homers, but not relying on them, not striking out 15 times a game, and getting great pitching to boot. I'm sure this will cool off sometime in the next month or so, I just hope it ramps up come October. After the last 2 year ends, the Braves need something, and they deserve a World Series chance. Not only are they playing great, having dealt with a stupid crazy amount of injuries, but they're doing it with largely unknown players (contract wise). They've only got a handful of expensive players, and just keep churning out the quality young guys.

Hopefully when BJ comes back they use him as a late innings defensive replacement. Freddie can't mess with this lineup right now.

They have been fun to watch these last 4 games. BIG BIG series in Oakland now and they could find themselves 6.5 games back or .5 a game back by the end of it! Pitching needs to come through!

The guy the Braves got as a throw-in on the JUp/Prado deal turns out to be pretty good. Eight consecutive multi-hit games, tying the franchise record with some guy named Henry something-or-other.

Not too shabby.
 
Royals down 2-1 bottom of the 8th in New York. Need a comeback!
 
Royals load the bases in the top of the ninth and get a sac fly to score a run to tie it up. All on one hit. They scored a run in the eighth without a hit as well.
 
Winning run at third base and only one out, KC takes it to extra innings in New York.
 
Wow, the Mets blew another awesome showing by a starter. Not surprising.

Tigers starters are rarely the problem. Cut Coke down to lefty specialist and thankfully Potato is gone, seems like the bullpen is good! Gotta hit though. Can't go 8+ for 5 games in a row then go 3- after. Most 2 runs or less games and most shutouts in the majors hitting wise.
 
Didn't see the game, as I was at a summer league game, but I was checking the scores/stats on my phone. Another great win for the Braves. Hopefully they'll keep up the good play.

And yeah, dad and I were joking that maybe BJ will go see Dr. Andrews, and be out for Tommy John, haha. I think he'd be good off the bench, and try to work hard in the off season, and be ready for 2014.
 
My fun with the braves ended yesterday. I love when they play the Rockies because I get to watch the games.

They are looking great right now and really need to sign B Mac. They don't have anyone that is major league ready to replace him. He is way more valuable than BJ at $75 million!

The kid sitting in AAA will replace BMac. He doesn't have a huge bat, but he is supposed to be an elite defensive catcher. Benito Santiago, but with a better arm, keeps getting mentioned. Plus, Gattis can still be there to catch some as well

the reality is that BMac needs to go to the AL. He will be a DH sooner than later.

I was ready to let him go after Gattis' start, but when BMac is healthy, he's amazing. I hope we make a strong run at him. Hudson and Maholm are both FAs that I don't see us re-signing, but a lot of our talented young guys are getting ready for larger contracts. Wren will have his hands full this off-season. He's been great so far (except for the BJ signing, which hopefully won't be another Uggla semi-letdown).

OH and fingers crossed on a DH ruling in the next couple years. That would help with McCann.
