What did you shoot today?

Shot 40 on the front 9. 6 pars, 2 bogies and 1 double. Actually had a great day striking the ball just couldn't do anything off the tee today. Its upsetting because my strong point is off the tee and I was just spraying the Alpha everywhere today. Gotta get some more practice time with her. Had 15 putts and missed a few shorts ones so overall I'm happy but not pleased with my drives

That has been my issue all year, tee ball. For the past few years driver has been money while the wedge game and putting hold me back. This year it is the exact opposite. Shot 35 with 2 bogeys and 2 birdies in my 9 hole league last night and the putter and wedges saved me all night.

Exactly! It can be frustrating because I know I'm close to breaking through for my personal best, I jus can't seem to get it all together. Im usually really confident with driver but today was ugly Lol guess I'm happy to have my wedges in order finally.

Thankfully in my league the course is short and I can hit fairways and hybrids off most tees (why my score was so low!!!!).

Yeah that's definitely a nice bonus.

We shot -6 in our scramble today on a tough course. Ended up finishing in 4th out of 16 teams.

39 on my 9 hole league with two birdies and 14 putts

36/41. 5 over 77. Played the local nine hole with dad for my birthday, played it from 31xx and 34xx. 27 total putts, the short game was really solid the first go around, not so solid the second go around. But for my first round since the middle of June, I'm not really going to complain much..

Left work a little early to play 9. Shot a 41, not a lot of trouble on this course but it is relatively long. Irons were much better today.

41/43-84. Didn't do anything very good or bad. Was kind of OK all round. Kept it in play all day and only had 1 double. Was happy that I got my driver going again, didn't find any hazards and only had to punch back into the fairway once. Biggest issue today were my long irons. My 5 and 6 irons were a disaster. This offseason I'm going to really ponder going to a 5 hybrid.

40 - 39 - 79. Played pretty well but just couldn't get anything great going. Was still a little punch drunk from a very long work week.

37-42=79

First time breaking 80 in about 15 years. Fell apart on the back nine after we got slowed up by groups ahead and the heat and humidity started to get to me. Had to par the 18th to save the 79 and managed to do that with the only GIR I hit the entire back nine.

With my handicap it was a net 64... :bulgy-eyes:

Always great to enter your score on the FSGA site and have it pop with an "This score is outside the normal range of this player. Are you sure you want to post?" Yes. Yes I do. Knocks .4 off of my trend handicap for next revision.

Decided that the post MC blues has lasted long enough. Went out on a local goat track (the course I started the game on) and just went out to swing my sticks and have fun.

This course doesn't have an official USGA slope rating, so it won't count towards my handicap, but I ended up with a 38/39 77, my best round of the year so far. Things just clicked today.

Well done Nate!!

Had one of those rounds where nothing clicked. Couldn't get it back on the rails no matter what I tried. Our group was the first out at 8:00 am for men's day. The eighth hole was the closest to the pin hole for the day. I hit it to 12 feet. Wasn't going to put my name on it because I don't think it would hold. I managed to 3 putt it anyway. Just found out it held all day. Won $195 on a 3 putt bogey. Pretty said but I'll take it.

Work scramble and my team took 2nd place. We shot -14 and the winning team was one better.

Perfect weather day and I figured I better get another weekday round in, teed off at 9:45 and put the clubs in the truck at 12:35 which I think had a lot to do with the 83 I shot. Best round of the year and it came with a triple and two doubles, one of the doubles caused by a six iron that I hit too good. I think the triple on hole #2 just made me focus because I have played a bunch of golf this week and I knew I was striking the ball well. The greens also had a nice pace to them.

Then on the way home we slid into the local par 28 course because we had the time, shot an 35 there but left a couple strokes on the glacial speed greens. Still was nice to get 27 holes in on my last true day of dadcation.

I really struggled today on a wet swampy course. I shot a 100. I easily should have been in the low 90s or broke 90 for the first time. My second shots were difficult with the muddy conditions. Surprisingly I only had 1 double bogey, but I had too many bogeys and a fair share of triples. Also had 4 pars and a birdie.

I had an unusual round, shot 71 which is level par but oddly for me I had no bogies. 18 holes, 18 pars.

Went to the range to hit balls and practice short game and the head pro at my club steps up to the rack next to me. We BS for a few minutes then he invites me out to play 9 with him. Cant say no to that so I accepted. I gotta tell ya, that guy is good. He shot 33 and made the game look so easy. It easily could have been a 30 if a couple burnt edges had fallen. Im proud to say that I hung with the guy today. I started off bogey-bogey but kicked it up from there and we both were throwing darts from that point on. Missed a great birdie chance on #12, 2-putt for birdie on #13, then 3 straight pars before lipping out a 5 footer for bird on #16. I was striking the ball so well. Made a 25ft chutt for eagle on #17. Went to #18 tee at -1 and I flopped a double up there to finish with a whimper and a 37. All the work on the short game paired with my as of lately great ball striking has me in position to really go low going into the Gauntlet. Would be killer to peak in Hilton Head.

Shot my 2nd ever under 80 round. things are starting to look up for my game!

Shot 78 today. Just couldn't get the putter going. I sank 2 bombs for birdies (42 ft and 35 ft) but kept blowing the ball past the hole on everything else.

Nicely done, 2 times shows it's not a fluke.

46 + 43 = 89

First time breaking 90! Totally stoked, as I have been working hard on my game. Started the season shooting 105.

Turned in an awful 95 yesterday. Hit the ball decently from tee to green, but just couldn't get the short game going worth a flip. Hoping my session today at SeeMore headquarters will get my putting back on track.

On the bright side, I got to play with subvet and boondoggle, two guys I hadn't had the chance to meet before, so despite my poor golf, it was still a fun day.

What did you shoot today?

3/2 (82) win in a match play round today. Scored an awful 46 on the front and 36 on the back. Had 4 3 putt bogies. Same ball all round, had a few very bad lies on the front 9. Promising round, just got into trouble along the way.
