Not sure were to posts this, but thought it might fit here.

Most of you know I recently won an R11 driver thanks to a contest TaylorMade had on there facebook page.

Here is the question..
If I just simply cant hit it or its not any better than what my R9 driver, what do I do?

I feel bad if I sale it, probably get $320-$360 out of it if I did though.
Here is the catch. If I did sell it, 90% if not all of that money would go right back into TaylorMade equipment. Buying a SF 3w, possibly a SF driver and a few other things. So I honestly think it would be ok if I did since I will be buying there equipment with the money from it.

Just curious what others thought about this?

You won it dude its yours, do what you want with it. They are not looking for anything from you in terms of reviews or anything it was a contest, sell away.

Any local hs golf teams? I'm sure some kid would love to hit it, and since its free to you, you haven't lost anything. If on the other hand you need cash, like for snow shovel, sell it.

But I'm sure it will work for you, so don't worry about crossing that bridge yet.

insert witty sig line here. Tapatalk

I agree on selling it. If it doesn't work for you why keep it?

Ya, I just feel like I need to give some sort of review for the people here at the forum though.

Ehhh, im not comfortable giving a 16 year old a $400 dollar driver to swing lol

I could use a snow shovel right about now though

what you should do is get the thought out of your head that you can't hit it before you've even tried it. If you can't hit it, sell it or you can pay it forward.

No, I would not keep it. I would give it away if I didnt sell it.

No, Im not thinking that at all. Just playing the what if game.

You could do an online raffle, like $2 or $5 a ticket. Then you could use the money to get the Burner 2.0 Driver and review that. If you felt like you couldn't do that you could always donate the money to charity.

I'd be in for a ticket or two. lol

Dude its already in your head and you havent even hit it. You might as well not even take the plastic off it lol. You'll get more money for it NIP.

that's a mighty dangerous game haha

You'll know what you feel comfortable with if you can't game it. You can either sell and re-invest in some other gear, donate to 1st tee or some other organization, or do a contest on THP for it. I believe SethO won a Kia Ma putter on here and he turned around and did a contest for it and gave it away to someone else.

You see that too huh?

I like that idea, you might even come out of it with more money than just selling it.

i smell a superbowl contest with an r11 as the prize!

This driver had nothing to do with this forum. You don't owe us a review on it. Well actually, you CAN give a review on it. All reviews don't have to be glowing reviews. Then do with it whatever you want. You don't owe anyone here an explanation of what you do with it. Again, this driver has nothing to do with THP. If you won it here, I would say play it forward. But you didn't.

If it's really bothering you, send an email to TaylorMade and ask them what to do. I'm sure they will say to do whatever you want.

Ya I know, but its fun giving reviews and helping people out.

Im sure they dont care, I mean its not like there not going to get the money back from me buying more of there clubs lol

If you lived near me, then i would for sure let you try it out. Georgia is a long ways though haha

You have no obligation to do anything. If you really want the Superfast 2.0, leave the plastic on and sell it back to a golf shop. If you want to love the club, go to a range and try to fall in love with it. If you do fall in love with it, bag it and lower your scores. If you can't get a handle on the smaller head, then sell it back and use it towards a Superfast.

I look at it and your situation the same way as others have said, Use it, trade it in (could get up to 80%-90% value of club) or pay it forward. But suggesting you are going to have trouble only puts the thought in your head. Go into it positve and you'll do fine and have a wonderful new driver. Then we can talk about what you want for that old r9. :D

I think there is nothing wrong with you selling it.

I sure wouldn't take the plastic off of it. Demo one at your local shop/range they have demo's set aside. You won it, it's yours to do with as you please. If I win at the casino I sure don't feel obliged to give it back to them. It's not like you are a tester for thp on this club.

A review detailing why it doesn't work for you is just as good as one singing its praises.

When I look at reviews on products, I always look at the bad ones too, not just the good ones. Look at this place, there are plenty of reviews saying the producgt is not up to snuff.

sometimes I look at more bad ones than good ones. Esp when it comes to electronics and stuff.

Exactly. You want to know the problems people have.

Wow. You must be a saint. At least after this post you should feel great about your moral code. I would sell it or trade it for some clubs I liked if it was me. I'm no saint. Haha
