The World Cup Draw starts in about 30 minutes, so I figured I'd put this thread up since there will be a lot of talk about one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Let's see which teams get lucky in the draw today and which teams end up in the "Group of Death."
 
Can't wait to see the results!
 
This should be good...and the US has a decent chance at making a deep run it looks like. Hopefully they will get a good draw to help with that, too.

First up: aligning the 8 seeded nations in the groups.

Group A: Brazil
Group B: Spain
Group C: Colombia
Group D: Uruguay
Group E: Switzerland
Group F: Argentina
Group G: Germany
Group H: Belgium
 
Arrggghhh this is almost as nerve wracking as watching England play!!!
 
Read an article this morning that FIFA want to introduce a Sin bin for yellow cards...what.....lost in their own legend.....:banghead:

Next up is Pot 2: contains teams from Africa, South America, and 1 team from Europe. The 1 team from Europe moved from Group 4 into this Group 2 is Italy!

Group A: Cameroon
Group B: Chile
Group C: Ivory Coast
Group D: Italy
Group E: Ecuador
Group F: Nigeria
Group G: Ghana
Group H: Algeria
 
Group E and Group H are pretty soft so far.
 
Please don't get group G, please don't get group G......

Now up is Pot 3: Asian, North American and Central American countries. This includes the USA.

Group A: Mexico
Group B: Australia
Group C: Japan
Group D: Costa Rica
Group E: Honduras
Group F: Iran

Well... It was fun while it lasted.

I'm sure G will be the "group of death". Seems like that's always the US's fate.
