Cookie & I had the privilege to play with Miller Time & Barberakb. It was a great competitive round. We were up about three strokes on them going into the 6th hole, but then they started playing lights out and we were down 1 going into 10.

I can't overstate how well they played together. Aaron was so money with his drives down the stretch & Josh was just unbelievable with his approaches. I still can't believe they did get first. Jank & capt.dru had to have played out of their minds. There was no shame in losing to the winners today. We played really good, but they played excellent.

Hats off to JB & Mward. This has been an excellent event from start to finish.

Honestly, you had me scared after you went something like even par through the first 6 holes or whatever it was.

Congrats Jank and Andrew. Great job today or there.
JB, loved the format. It was extremely fair and fun.
It really had one of the most fun rounds that I have had. I was teamed up with KPop, and we played with v.man and MikeG. Of course Ken was center fairway almost every single time, imagine that. I had heard that about him before, now I have experienced it. Great job today Ken. He and MikeG made a good team. Nice job today More. Wish I would have gotten your little tee shot shake on a vine. Next time.
KPop, it was an absolutely great time partnering with you today. Wish I could have given you some better wedge play today, but I hope my driver work was adequate. I hope you enjoyed you first THP event, and that you enjoyed the day as much as I did. Hope to see you at future THP events.

Congrats Jank and Dru! It was a fun round, watching me hit a hybrid straight up in the air for two feet on hole no.1 was a treat.
 
Had a blast today with TBD, Vegan and my partner Jank! TBD and Vegan played very well today. Phil was spot on with his driver today and had some blistering shots down the middle of the fairway. Vegan had a solid game and made a couple of birds to keep the pressure on us. It was fun going shot for shot with them. Jank played extremely well today and saved us a few times. I think I found my secret to playing good golf. Have 3 alcoholic beverages before I tee off and maintain during the round. I had a little more on the back and I noticed I started to struggle. I was on the descending side of the bell curve, so I started drinking some water to bring me back to equilibrium and I finished out strong. It was great hanging out with everyone and meeting some guys I had never met before. Thanks to everyone that came out for this event and to THP for putting together these awesome events. I look forward to seeing you guys at future events. See you guys at PGA National!

Me, Tim, and Alex are just getting back from a semi-beatdown at the casino. Tim came out ahead, but he had to work hard for it. Seemed like he was getting 13, 14, and 15s off of the deal every hand. Had a good time though.
 
Stopped for the night just north of Jackson MS. Thanks everyone who did your part in making this a great trip!

Ok, I had a fantastic time, chris(easy8) was just an awesome playing partner.
2 words describe him to me, quiet classiness. This dude didn't have one bad thing to say the whole round.

But, I heard something after dinner that I would like to address, as it is eating at me a bit.
Mods, if I am out of line please feel free to delete this, PM me to delete it, or whatever.

I am no one on THP first of all, I am a struggling high handicapper, and got paired up with a fantastic welcoming partner in Chris.

But I have heard things weren't so cordial and welcoming in se other groups. I guess there were some "this guy is horrible" "what the hell was that!!?!?" And similar comments being made.
Let me copy something from the first post.

ALL skill levels are welcome and we mean that with everything we stand for. In addition this is open to men and women of all ages (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).

I hope the person or persons who were making these comments or similar ones contact me, I'd love to expound on my thoughts on this matter.
I'm no internet tough guy here, please trust me if I heard those comments I'd say something to you and you just may not like what I have to say.

To the douchbag(s) who made these comments did you think your partner was purposely trying to make a bad shot? Trying to sabotage your teams chance of winning? Trying to screw up?

I would hope you didn't make a bad shot, miss a putt, I bet you were playing at par or under huh?

All skill levels are welcome.

Everyone I talked to seemed to come out to have a good time, maybe see old friends or hope to make new ones. Everyone wants to win, it's human nature, but do you want to win so bad, that when someone messes up you turn into a jerk? How do you think your partner felt? Think he felt as bad as you?

Let me tell you something I bet he felt worse. And what did you do to help ease his mood? Chastised him.

Good for you!

Again, this is NOT about Anyone in the group I was playing, everyone was awesome!!!

I didn't put this in the rant section because I believe it belongs here.

To those guys, keep plugging away, THP is NOT made up of people like that, please do not let one bad experience deter you from attending future events.

THP IS about golf, friendship, and learning. At least to me.

Sorry if this got long, again mods, if I am out of line I am sorry!

You and I must have owned hole 1, my 8 foot driver was epic
