Rushamania taking over England/Scotland!!!

Hey Rush, I think you are getting in at 5pm so looking forward to a catch up later!

The weather today is nasty but tomorrow should be a bit kinder although the wind is due to be 20mph+ so this will be interesting!!

Looking forward to seeing you at the club in the morning and us doing battle with the Links Beast :)

Golf is Love!!

....and the 2 iron is going back in the bag!

Time to go to the range and practice that low Stinger shot.....

No time for the range today so will have to figure it out on the course.

Off the back foot and hands forward and punch it....hoping that will work!! :)

Failing that, pick the ball up and throw it - that would certainly get it further for me than trying to hit a low stinger with a 2i!!!! :D

Even though it is for business, what a great trip. I'm officially a bit jealous. Have a great time and take lots of pics of the courses.

Kansas is flat and windy so Rush should feel right at home.

How'd it go today boys?

Can't wait for some pics, would love to play Royal St. Georges

Judging from the lack of info from today up to now, I am going to guess with either they were blown off the cliffs into the sea, or Geo had a few too many 'fines' and needs to recover before he can type something coherent..... :alien:

Hopefully it's the latter!

Or the barrister hasn't been successful in lowering their bail...

I am looking forward to seeing the pictures of Royal St George and hearing how the round went.

Hey everyone, we had a blast. Pics coming soon!

Geo shot 83 both rounds and I ended up with a 101 and 104.

Was the hardest course I've ever played. With the wind, tournament conditions, and jet lag, I'm pretty happy with the results!

Walking 36 is a lot of work, especially with wind pounding us all day!

not bad dude. I'm jealous you played Royal St. Georges

Very cool.

Ok, to start, we did not take enough pictures, so my sincere apologies.

The club was very calm this morning. Not a lot of members were out and we literally had the course to ourselves.

Was awesome and slightly spooky at the same time. The clubhouse was "old school" as you would expect and you could "feel and taste" the tradition at this place. Very cool.

We teed off on #10 (members can only tee off on #1 in the morning) and we were off.

I quickly found my way into a deep greenside bunker, haha.

I hit a sweet drive down the pipe and hit 5 iron ( I think) and it was a tad short. 3 swings later I was out and 2 putted for a 7. I counted every freaking stroke today. The bunkers were literally up to my chin, it was nuts. I just tried let my imagination take over and tried to hit the shot. Kooky sounding, but whatever works, especially for links golf.

This course was much harder than Bandon dunes and pacific dunes.

Little rambling here. Ok some pics.

Very cool man. Can't wait for the pics.

Geo and I had coffee here before teeing off. We were the only ones there.

List of open champions at RSG, Darren Clarke being the latest. All 4 of his signed scorecards were hanging in the men's locker room.

Birdie putt on #12 (I think) after a 210 yard 4 iron (thank you altitudes).

Made par, was so happy to just make a par at RSG!

4 wood down the middle, about 250 with some wind and roll. Love it.

Another 4 wood. Carried about 230 and back in the sand!!

Bunker was up to my chest! Opened up my sand wedge and got it out!

Hallelujah! Was happy to make par and even happier that Geo made a birdie! 480 yard par 5. The only birdie of the day. That's how tough it was!
