CONTEST Radiman's Grandaddy/Hideaway Prize Pack

Just to start, I am not giving away everything in the picture above. I grabbed some extras while I was there and I am going to put together a small prize pack of a few Hideaway/Grandaddy mementos to give away to one of you fine THPers.

I am adding a framed 11x17 print of the picture above to the prize pool. Open to hopefuls and past participants alike.

Requirements:

1. Be an Albatross member
2. Go through any of the past live threads and show me your favorite picture or screenshot your favorite post.
3. Tell me what your favorite Grandaddy moment was and what the event means to you as a THP community member.
4. Only one entry per person. But, feel free to post more than one picture or share more than one moment.

I am hoping this thread will serve two purposes. First, provide some much needed levity to everyone in a time where I think a lot of people could use a stroll down Grandaddy memory lane. I know that I for sure can. And two, I haven't been around for all of these. I have gone through a lot of the live threads. But, I would love to hear some stories from everyone regarding them. Places a memory or personal connection to a picture or post.

I will keep this open for two weeks. I will use a random number generator to select the post # that will receive the prize pack. So, if there are 30 entries and 40 replies to the thread, and the number selected is not a valid entry, I will rerun the generator until a valid entry is selected.

The dollar value of the prize is small. But, each one of these items means a lot to myself and hopefully anyone else that has followed the event through the years.

Thanks for the fun contest @radiman ! This is great and I love seeing these Granddaddy conversations pop up. I have a picture in mind, but I'm going to revisit some of these threads before I reply. I love seeing people come back and spread the Granddaddy culture to more on THP! Thanks!
 
Great gesture!! I have been fortunate to have met or have had dealings with former Grandaddy alumni and have been blessed with some Hideaway mementos from them. So I will leave this for others. Will be great to see what others will come up with and hear their stories.
 
Awesome contest, I'll have to go back through when I get home and find Tomcat's recap, it was just wholly heartfelt.

Heck of a gesture! I’m almost 3/4 of the way through last year’s live thread and you and Team THP did a fantastic job on and off the course! Apologies in advance if I mess up the random number generator..

I love your contest and this is a great gesture. I'm going to pass because I was lucky enough to get some Hideaway/Grandaddy stuff already - but I'm looking forward to following along with this thread. So many great memories from years past.
 
Hold up, when did they put that scalloped brass coin in the shop? Or was that a specialty thing made for you guys?

Thanks for the comment, MGR! It helps to know that others could sense what we were able to experience through our words after the fact.
 
This is a heck of a gesture at a time where it's very appreciated! I have been lucky enough to receive a couple of the things pictured in your post by a wonderful Grandaddy alum so I will not be entering but I wanted to share. The last week or so I've been reading through the 2019 thread and I'm at the bus trip at the moment and can't wait for Al's house! So many incredible things have already happened so far. It's fun re-reading it after knowing all the information about the clubs. It must have been mind blowing to learn all that information from the source. I hope one day to be in your shoes! Though I don't hope to have your travel troubles ;) Your positive attitude during those troubles shows how exciting/incredible this trip is. "No one deserves this trip but everyone lucky enough to be there is truly blessed" no truer words from @McLovin on his Shipshow appearance

The G logo coin? That was from @HarryPotter for the team. He had some done up for the ZooCrew as well.

Edit to add: That will stay in my own collection as it's the only one I have :)

To you and all other past participants. Feel free to participate. Even if you don't need the items, just say so. I will be going through the old live threads again myself. But, I am biased and my favorite pic and memory will likely be from 2019 :)

It is pretty sweet. I don't think I will ever bring it with me to the course. I have a habit of losing ball markers and divot tools.

Thanks Bro Namath! I feel the same way. I am fortunate to have had the pleasure to get to know each and everyone of our team. It was an absolute blast and I would do almost anything to be back there playing at the Hideaway with you guys, or being fit at ECPC.
