Anyhoo, I think I'm going to put a Stability Tour shaft in the Chicago. That will put the length to what fits me. If I'm going to fix something, I might as well fix it good.

Yep. The Bobby Grace van fit me to a 36" putter. In general, however, I am comfortable with 35". That extra half inch shorter (must just be a Callaway goof up) does impact how I setup with the putter. The SS9 is a similar style and at 35" puts me in a better position. Right away I putt better with the SS9. Chicago is too good a putter to use with the wrong setup.
SS9 > Chicago... haha. Chicago is a great shape!! I just hate the stroke lab shaft but I think a stability tour in it would be awesome!

Ohhhh you have to share how that works. I’ve been thinking about doing that but I’m just putting so well as is, so I don’t want to mess up a good thing. Don't overlook the KBS CT Tour shaft. I have one waiting for my Chicago when it arrives. I have the CT Tour in my Toulon Las Vegas and an Odyssey putter that both came stock with Stroke Lab shafts. The CT is the best steel putter shaft I've ever tried. At only $20-$32 depending upon the finish, you can't go wrong.

Too late, that's what I'm trying to do. Snickerdog will be joining me too as long as the dumb rain forecast decreases. I might play hooky on Friday though since the forecast is low 70s.
I got out for 9 holes with this and I absolutely love it. I ordered it with the heavier sole weight and it feels perfect for what I like. It likely is going to come down to this or the new Cobra putter for the commitment to my bag for 2021.
