Just curious, did you observe any overt disrespect shown to the flag by any of the players?

I did not. I wasn't there. However, somewhere buried in this thread it was mentioned that someone laid one on the ground last year (maybe?). I simply said I'd opt against it.

I love the idea and have seen a lot of tournaments do it. One of our local courses use to put a flag on the 18th hole. They had a place to rest the pole so the flag wouldn't touch the ground. I haven't played there in a few years so I am not sure of they still put it out or not.
