Whole Lotta Love might have been Number 1 depending on the Charts you are talking about.

They keep saying Stairway to Heaven was the Number One song of all time when we all KNOW it was Hotel California!
 
And there's also the bit about song of the year vs. record of the year vs. album of the year.

Song of the year in 1969? "Sugar, Sugar" by the Archies. I love that bit of trivia.
