This one was actually pretty personal for me. I have two adult daughters, both very successful, and I couldn't be prouder of them, but they are polar opposites of my wife and I politically, and they unfortunately don't agree with this quote at all.
We have been fortunate with our kids. We generally agree, but philosophical disagreements have yet to divide us. But I do know families who have had that happen and it is heart-wrenching.

I saw them in concert when this was a hit song. Along with them was Dr. Hook and Sugarloaf. It was a great concert. Dr. Hook was especially good as they came out and became part of the audience when their part of the show was finished.
