REAL old school:
Driver: Bob Mann driver! (that's when I averaged 280 off the tee. Multiple 300 drives!) Over 35 years ago!
3W: Again, Bob Mann with a hello from a old, old TaylorMade Burner 3W with a STEEL shaft!
5W: Ditto, Bob Mann and another old, old TaylorMade Burner 5W with another STEEL shaft!
Irons: Tommy Armour 845s 3-LW with S400 steel shafts

Shot several of my lowest rounds ever in the mid 90's with:
Irons: King Cobra cavity backs
3W: King Cobra, steel shaft X flex
Driver: Wilson Killer Whale, can't remember the shaft
Wedges: Cleveland
Putter: Ping Anser 2 or #9 style (generic)
My other period of great golf was in my early 20's with Mizuno MP33's...can't remember the rest of the clubs other than the putter my dad built me which was an Anser style putter with an insert.

Summer of 2016 I was playing the best golf of my life. Down to a <5 hdcp. In the bag at that time:

I guess I was paying well with Titleist, but I won't say that switching my clubs had anything to do with losing my skill level
