So I recognize golf balls have a variety of covers on them but what do they do for my game? Surlyn urathane ionomer I'm clueless on what the difference is between them all.

from what I gather the biggest thing is that urathane creates a lot more spin than surlyn covers

I'm sure someone will give a better answer than me.

Suryln is a harder material. It is going to have less spin. This can be a good thing or a bad thing. Many want more spin than a Surlyn ball will give you around the green, however they can also be straighter for some due to less side spin. These balls are more durable. The Bstone e6 is a surlyn ball.

Urethane is a softer material, which helps the club face spin teh ball, giving you more control around the green. These balls can cause some accuracy issues for some players. They are not as durable as surlyn

Ionomer balls are similar to Surlyn I believe.

Urathane will spin the most, but is probably the least durable. The surlyn and ionomer will not spin as much, but are probably more durable.
