Pure alternate, no, but a modified alternate shot, yes. Modified version had both team members teeing off and then picking the best shot from that point.

In a few THP events here as well. It's tough but really rewarding when you do well. @Molten and I had our fair share of ups and downs in the Budget Golf Championship a few years ago!!

Understatement. Most birdies. Most others. Feast or famine. It was fun but boy is it pressure packed.

Played it once, with @KY Golfer , and we did alright. It helps when your partner is a great iron player and gets to hit most of the approach shots.

And when you hit the fairways and are great putter to capitalize on those approach shots. Total team effort!!

Yes many times. We use to play it in our couples tournaments. We would play six holes best ball, 6 holes alternate shot and 6 holes scramble. We had tournaments Friday nights 9 holes and Sunday 18 with various formats. It was a blast and it helped everyone to know each other. Afterward we went in and had something to eat while the pro was adding up the scores.
