My home course, Ironbridge, is a pretty tough test. 73.7/137 from the tips at 7400 yards. The tees I play are 72.6/133 at 7000 yards. Most people get eaten up by it the first time or two they play it but it is a very scorable course if you can keep your ball in play. But thats the key. Miss by a little in the wrong spot and its penalty city.
The course has pretty distinct features from other parts of the course depending on what section you are playing so there isnt any particular theme that you can rely on to play the course 1-18.
The greens are fast and smooth with subtle breaks around the pin positions while being surrounded by larger undulations that make reading the greens tough but still a pleasure to putt on.
Overall, I think it is a super fun course that always throws a new twist at you and challenges you to keep the ball in play.
