It is normal for many of us in Indiana to have at least 5 months of down time, and this winter/spring has been no exception. I have not played a round since early November 2013 but went to a driving range two weeks ago and hit the ball great right off the bat. Might be different when I get to the course later this week but I normally play pretty well within a week or two.
We had four good months of full winter in the winter of 2012/2013 and then I had spine surgery in early March, so I never played a round in almost 7 months and played pretty good once I got going last year. Time off never bothers me.
