And then there was 1. Dmoney and Mancest just got on their flights and I'm waiting to board.
None of us had met before, but you would have never guessed it. They are both great guys and we had a ton of fun together. Thanks to everyone at True Temper who hosted us the last 2 days, especially Keenan. He drew the short straw and got stuck chaperoning us for 2 days. He fit in perfect with 3 guys from the internet and made the experience very enjoyable.
None of us had met before, but you would have never guessed it. They are both great guys and we had a ton of fun together. Had a great time with Mancest and Formula8 two great THPers fun to spend time with them in Memphis. There were highs(MVP treatment by TT Keenan gentleman and a scholar and THP,brisket,fried pies) and extremely lows(approach shots from 150yds and in, tattooed lady, and uber drivers). Great to finally meet the fabled myth, legend and bathroom coins-suer that is MANCEST and the unassuming game for days of Forumulate(cough sandbagger) Great time gents hope to get to Chicago or Bay Area to play golf again! Safe travels fellas!!

I just got home, fantastic couple days, great food, great company, great insights and some good and lots of mediocre golf.
Really fun read this morning and awesome experience. That gears is something else. Looked like yall had a ton of fun and ate some great food!
Hope everyone enjoyed it, sorry we weren't able to go more in depth on the process of how they make the iron shafts. I would like to say it is because they asked us to be mum on everything, but really it is because I doubt I could actually explain it with any confidence.
those cats at True Temper are smart as hell and they do some crazy stuff with some wild machines to make insanely good golf shafts (and several other sports items).
Always great to see JB and golfergal, the people from True Temper were great. The Uber rides were fascinating (and frightening if I am being totally honest), someone almost lost an eye via a button. The food was legendary (I ate deep fried pecan pie twice in two nights... and I would have it again right now if I could) and I walked away with a few insights:
My golf swing still sucks. Formula8 has got a really good swing, and if he gets the chance to play more he will be a single digit no question. DMoney79 has phenomenal taste in music and unfortunately got paired with me for our game. It was monkey see monkey do, I would hit a crap shot, so he would hit a crap shot....
Just a really great time with awesome people, the 3 of us had never met, and by Friday morning it was like we were old friends. Hope we get to tee it up together again as that was a ton of fun.
