Yes, always. With most OEMs it’s usually not and issue but PXG and Cobra are pretty limited. I will say even though Cobra is limited online, what they do offer is typically what I’d use

My past 2 sets have been Mizuno and they do an incredible job of providing a TON of no cost upgrades on both shafts and grips.

If I ever go away from Mizzy irons I’m sure it will be a shock at what I’ll actually need to pay for.

I always check yes. I'm fairly flexible with shafts because i like mid launch and there is a huge variety there. But it could definitely be a deal breaker if one OEM offered the shafts i wanted and another didn't.

I bought Forged TEC a few years back because they were one of the few vendors that gave you Modus 130 at no upcharge and i wanted to try that in an iron set.

These days there's really no excuse for only have a couple of shaft offerings
