fairly indicative of the climb up - a short leg burner that takes most people an hour with a couple breaks

great view on a sunny day

Gargoyles

pick your way through boulders and tree roots to reach the north end

small underwater sand ripples where outward flow meets inward wind

the trail going out to Greendrop Lake which is another few miles away

time to head back, but not before convening with the local wildlife - female Barrow's Goldeneye and a Gray/Grey Jay (Canada Jay or Whiskeyjack)

My daughter was medalist at a 5 team 18 hole invitational event at the same course where they hold sections on June 7th. Super proud of her!!

She’s on the right and picked a good day to tie her personal best.

We are visiting my wife’s dad in Kalispell and yesterday we made the 20 minute drive over to Whitefish to have lunch and it was a perfect 75 degree day. We both love Montana and definitely need to spend more time here in retirement. We are planning to come back to ski next March.
