Smoke from the wildfires in Canada has made it down here to Central Minnesota…. Played 18 with a buddy and this is what it looked like the entire round.

Walked 9 with two of my brothers after work tonight. Three great shots from around 120 yards out!
The smoke from the Canadian wildfires is still with us but is forecasted to be mostly clearing out by later this afternoon. We’ve had more Smokey days this last month than I’ve seen total in my 35 years of living in Minnesota. This photo is from about 6PM yesterday.

Club Car Tempo Walk
Keeping to my word, I decided to take out my club's new "follow along" Club Carrobot cart. Having used it for a full round, I can honestly see the draw behind the high-end tag-along carts. Unlike a remote-controlled cart, there was no remote control needed to steer/stop/start etc. Clip a transmitter to the back of your belt, flip the switch on and walk - it follows you staying 3-4 feet behind you. Whenever you reach a spot where you are going to take a shot, you flip the switch off to stop it. Grab your club and hit your shot. Flip the switch back on, start walking again and it just tags along.
After walking 18 holes (granted it wasn't super hot out) without having to negotiate a cart or carry the bag I walked off 18 feeling like I hadn't really played 18 holes. I'm assuming this is what it's like having a caddy?
