How would you feel about a combo this direction?

I don't like the gap between the 7 & 8 though.

If you're going to play MBs, the gap has to be somewhere. Go back from PW (assuming you believe it needs to be a blade) and walk the numbers until you hit a number that's scary with an MB haha - that's your transition.

....and having hit them both, it'll be smooth as hell (assuming you hit the MBs well).

You could go one degree strong on the blades and one degree weak with the HMBs, and you keep a 4 degree gap between 8 iron and 7 iron.
